A number of forensic processes have been used successfully in the field of Digital Forensics. The aim of this paper is to model some of these processes by using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) - specifically the behavioural Use Cases and Activity diagrams. This modeling gives a clear indication of the limitations of these processes. A UML-based comparison is made of two prominent DFPMs that are currently available in the literature. This is followed by a newly proposed DFPM as developed by the authors.
